Research and Publication Ethics
All editorial members must adhere to academic neutrality and impartiality, abide by COPE editorial ethics, and ensure that all manuscript evaluation and publication decisions are based solely on academic quality, without being affected by author background, institutional reputation, funding sources, and personal factors.
Editors must strictly implement conflict of interest recusal rules, keep the peer review process transparent and standardized, prevent review fraud and academic favoritism, and properly handle author appeals and academic disputes. Editors are responsible for supervising the whole process of manuscript quality, ethical compliance, and standardized publication.
1. Roles and Responsibilities of Different Editorial Positions
Editors-in-Chief (EiC): The Editor-in-Chief takes overall responsibility for the journal’s academic orientation, editorial quality, and standardized operation. The EiC formulates journal development plans, supervises the entire peer review and publication process, makes final editorial decisions on controversial manuscripts, handles major academic ethical disputes and author appeals, and oversees the overall construction and optimization of the editorial board team.
Associate Editors (AE): Associate Editors assist the Editor-in-Chief in daily editorial management, undertake manuscript distribution, review quality supervision, and preliminary verification of academic and ethical compliance. They are responsible for coordinating special issue planning, supervising regular issue publication progress, participating in editorial standard formulation, and assisting in resolving routine author consultation and review disputes.
Section Editors (SE): Section Editors are responsible for the academic quality and development of specific research fields and journal columns. They screen submissions within their professional scope, select qualified peer reviewers, monitor review progress, evaluate revision quality, put forward professional editorial opinions, and promote academic innovation and topic expansion in corresponding disciplines.
Editorial Board Members (EBM): Editorial Board Members participate in journal academic construction, provide professional academic guidance, support manuscript peer review and academic quality evaluation, assist in organizing academic topics and special issues, promote journal academic influence and international exchanges, and offer professional suggestions for journal development and policy optimization.

3. Editorial Work Norms and Prohibitions
All editors must strictly adhere to conflict-of-interest disclosure and recusal rules, keep peer review information and unpublished manuscripts strictly confidential, prohibit arbitrary rejection or acceptance, malicious delay of review, and improper intervention in review results. Editors are forbidden to use editorial privileges for private academic gains, commercial cooperation, or preferential manuscript processing. Any irregular editorial behavior will result in warning, suspension of editorial authority, or cancellation of editorial qualification.
